March 20th, 2008—Wear a Sweater Day!
This article made me smile. I still watch Mr Rogers from time to time. Not sure why, but I was kind of surprised that I knew all the words to the songs he sang. It still warms my heart to watch the show.
Wear a sweater, honor Mr. Rogers
Event aimed at paying tribute to children’s TV pioneer who died 5 years ago
The Associated Press
PITTSBURGH - A tribute to children’s public television pioneer Fred Rogers will include an effort to get people everywhere to wear a sweater on what would have been his 80th birthday. March 20th is being promoted as “Sweater Day” to honor Rogers, who died of cancer five years ago. A sweater was his trademark garb on “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.” David Newell, who played speedy deliveryman Mr. McFeely on the show, appears in a YouTube video that touts the event. “Sweater Day” is the capstone to a six-day celebration planned by Family Communications Inc. of Pittsburgh. Rogers created the company to produce his show.

Getting the Word Out
I like parenting blogs even though most of them say the same thing over and over. Every once in a while I run across a post on one that leads me somewhere I have never been before but will probably return again.
At Mom 101, the author has an in with the head of the Toy Industry who will be answering a few questions from real people regarding toy recalls and safety. I read through the questions and they are wonderful. So much so that I can’t seem to think of anything to add besides “Argh! Why? Why? Why.....WHY!?!?!?!”
I will certainly be popping back over to read the answers later. I hope you will do the same.

Trying to Make it to 9/12/2007
That is Vivienne’s first day back at school, where she will be going 5 days a week for at least 4 hours a day. To say I am excited is beyond an understatement.
Until then, I find myself not having anything nice to say. She is trying my patience and pushing my limits at each and every turn. This thrills only her and my parents. I will fully admit to not liking her too much this week.
There is news but nothing too exciting. I will hopefully get into that sometime in the future. To let you know how crazy things get, tonight, as I was getting ready to put my pajamas on, I found a ponytail holder stuck in my bra. I didn’t even notice 1. that is was missing and 2. that it was up under my boob. Yes, my day was just that bad.
She wants you to think she is like this:
But her true colors always shine through:
