Vivienne confuses me.

Sometimes, when Vivienne brings projects home from school, I will thumb through them and then toss them right into the trash. I am not a parent that keeps every scrap of paper or every work sheet. With art projects, I tend to keep them for a short time, snap a few photos of it and off to recycling it goes. I keep the most precious/ entertaining/ awesome and put them up on the walls of her playroom.

A few days ago, I started looking at the little book that she made in school. It seems innocent enough. Take a gander:

“Silly Bunny”

“Bunny was getting bigger every day.”

“Now Bunny is really big.”

“Bunny will never, ever get big again!”

If you didn’t guess it, in the last picture, bunny died. That is a headstone.

Should I seek counseling now or wait a few years?
