Little Brothers Stink
Vivienne was on Spring Break this past week. Add that to the previous week where she was off 4 days for the tonsillectomy, she has had just too much time with her little brother. I was too often hearing that she just didn’t like him and then letting out a big disappointed sigh when he was brought downstairs in the morning or after a nap.
Yesterday, when Henry was on the sofa watching something riveting like “Barney”, Vivienne surprised me by plopping down next to him. At first it was a no-go with lots of elbow fighting and whining. Soon things settled down, as seen by my attempt at getting a photo where they were both looking at me and smiling.

Vivienne and Alice
Vivienne tells Phil tonight:
“Dad, I will NEVER not love Alice. But I will also ALWAYS not love Nathan.”
Oh, to be four and have your life end with each passing day!! How easy it is to say “nevers” and “always”.
She was recovering nicely and wanted so badly to get out. One of the moms there took these photos, as I was holed up (happily) in complete silence with Henry sleeping upstairs.

Happy Easter!
We dyed eggs this morning after checking in on our Easter loot. I think we have created a new tradition by having the Easter bunny bring us dyeing kits for the eggs in our baskets. That way, we don’t have 2 dozen eggs sitting around for a long time AND we have something to do that makes this day special for us.
Nothing too exciting here. Vivienne is on day 6 of her recovery and she is doing ok. Not 100%, I would say 75, maybe. We are having a quiet Easter with just us 4. Henry is walking up a storm and making us laugh all the time with his need to carry things as he walks around the house. He is also very fond of Vivienne’s kazoo.
All in all, I hope everyone enjoys this day the way that makes them happiest.
