Conversation with Deeper Meaning
Vivienne: Mom, will you help me find the fourth one of these?
Me: I thought there was only 3.
Vivienne: No, there are 4, I think there are 4.
Me: Well, I only ever saw 3, so I don’t think there is a 4th one.
Vivienne: Will you help me look for it?
Me: No.
Vivienne: Why not?
Me: Because I am not going to spend my time looking for something that I don’t think exists.
Pause. Let sink in. Smile.

Its truly is Christmas in July!
Thanks Ronni!
Talk about Guilt
I suppose it is time to update when I get email from family, friend and even friends of the family asking me if I have given up on my site. The answer is an emphatic ‘no!’ I am just busy.
Busy is all relative, of course. I could tell you that summer is crazy busy, with shuttling kids to summer camps, gymnastics, play dates and all around trying to keep them happy. But that would be a partial lie. We do all those things, but I am not unable to sit in front of a computer. Nope.
At the end of May I was sucked into an online game that I spent a lot of time on. Sure, it makes me a goober but it also made me pretty happy. Yes, folks, I am an online farmer. I have 2 farms, even. One I am very proud of and one that is just an excuse to spend a few moments ignoring my children.
While my father is struggling to keep up with his bounty of vegetables and I am getting fresh, local produce delivered to my door, I am getting all the reward with little physical output and even less heat related sweat. Its perfection, I tell you!
Not that online farming takes up all of my time, but it has become a way for me to ignore all the things I am avoiding. Since the middle of July, I have cut back quite a bit and even spent 4 days off my computer! (Let’s not talk about my nasty, new iPhone problem). We are heading to the beach soon and there is no working internet. I have a feeling that my habit will be fully broken when I get back home.
With all that said, here are a few photos of summer fun, travel and stuff that I really HAVE been doing:

Another First
I just put a pillow on the middle cushion of the sofa, a kid on either side and said “No one crosses this pillow.”
Super.
