My computer died….AGAIN
Sadly, my HP laptop has become sick, again. If you remember back to February, that was the first time it pooped out on me. Last weekend, it went out again.
After doing some research, it seems that HP Pavilion laptops aren’t doing all that well. This will be my second motherboard. My only lucky break here is that it went out of warranty on April 15th and there is an extended warranty for 90 days on the parts they just worked on. I suppose I should be thankful that the same part died?
Looking on the HP forums on their website, it is plainly obvious that there are inherent flaws with this product. I am hopeful that they have found the real cause and will give me new parts that stop this from happening. I don’t think it is realistic, but I am going to try and fool myself.
Until Friday, when I am scheduled to receive my repaired laptop, I won’t be able to post photos or videos on my site. I might have to suck it up and really type some words and tell a story. Stay tuned!

Getting the Word Out
I like parenting blogs even though most of them say the same thing over and over. Every once in a while I run across a post on one that leads me somewhere I have never been before but will probably return again.
At Mom 101, the author has an in with the head of the Toy Industry who will be answering a few questions from real people regarding toy recalls and safety. I read through the questions and they are wonderful. So much so that I can’t seem to think of anything to add besides “Argh! Why? Why? Why.....WHY!?!?!?!”
I will certainly be popping back over to read the answers later. I hope you will do the same.

Its the Most Wonderful Time
Much like last year, I did the happy dance as I opened the box that just arrived.
Around Thanksgiving, I sometimes think about the fact that these will arrive. But by the time December 1st rolls around and I am up to my eyeballs in planning and buying and decorating and dealing, I just forget about them.
How is it that they are always delivered right when I need them most? Or is it the fact that they are always just such a welcome treat?
Thanks again to Dad and Nancy for making this one hour of my life peaceful, rewarding and delicious.
