I have posted about Phil and his new Wonder-Camera before. But now I have proof. Over the weekend, he took some great photos of the kids and I. I will fully admit that I got a little teary when I saw these. I don’t think I have good photos of Vivienne and I yet. So this was quite a treat.

I suggest you pop on over to Phil’s Flickr! account and bookmark it to see his photos on a regular basis. Not only are there gratuitous shots of my cleavage (ugh, boys), but there are beautiful art photos (which I make fun of him for, but they are very pretty) and others of the family and stuffs.

On Wednesday, the UPS guy knocked on my door. Now, I am used to getting things because I do a lot of mail order for my presents (especially this year). Vivienne runs over and says “Mom! It is a present outside!” So we both go look.

I went outside and gave a good pregnant lady grunt as I bent over to pick it up, only to be faced with the label that Phil an I secretly yearn for 364 other days of the year. I think I even let out a little giggle and did the obligatory ‘happy dance.’ On the outside of the package, on a little return address label was “The Best Cookie”.

I explained to Vivienne that it WAS a present and yes, we most certainly could open it now. So she perched on her chair and helped me unload the packing materials, cut the plastic off the tin and open the box. “COOKIES!” she cried. We both enjoyed one right then, dinner be damned.

Just a quick thanks to Dad and Nancy for always managing to send these at the exact right time each year and a recommendation for these wonderful cookies that I consider a huge treat for the holidays. Now, I just have to hide a few chocolate chip ones so Phil will be forced to eat the Oatmeal Raisins himself.
