Its the Most Wonderful Time
Much like last year, I did the happy dance as I opened the box that just arrived.
Around Thanksgiving, I sometimes think about the fact that these will arrive. But by the time December 1st rolls around and I am up to my eyeballs in planning and buying and decorating and dealing, I just forget about them.
How is it that they are always delivered right when I need them most? Or is it the fact that they are always just such a welcome treat?
Thanks again to Dad and Nancy for making this one hour of my life peaceful, rewarding and delicious.

Silly, Silly Stuff
Someone sent me a link to this site and Phil and I had a good laugh. Enjoy!

Good Morning
This morning, I had an appointment at 9am. I woke up at 715am. Phil got up at 730am. By the time Phil came downstairs, I was exhausted.
In that time, I managed to:
*get both kids up
*get both kids dressed
*pack Vivienne’s lunch and snack
*wrap a birthday gift
*pack Vivienne’s backpack, get her coat and shoes ready
*make Vivienne breakfast
*give Henry a bottle
*get myself dressed
*pack the diaper bag
Phil managed to:
*wake up
*take a shower
*shave
*get dressed
I now see the glaring problem. I need to sleep another 30 minutes.

Dad Is Mad
My Dad, in his recent acquisition of wisdom and peace, has become downright Zen. This is why I am sharing his not-so-fun experience at an Atlanta area restaurant, The Feed Store.
I have worked in restaurants and retail for a good portion of my adult life. In those years, I have seen, and sadly been the cause of, some horrible dining experiences. I am smart enough to know that a good meal will get you a repeat customer, but a bad meal will be mentioned to everyone with whom they speak.
Therefore, since my father has become such a nice man in his old age (ha ha!), I am trying my best to spread the word. I would feel totally different had the owner made an effort to respond to his complaints.
So if you feel so inclined, pass this along to anyone you know who might be in the Atlanta area and might be looking for a decent place to eat. This doesn’t seem to be it.
