3 Years and Counting…
Today I held Vivienne is my arms and faked a cry. I told her that she was getting so big and tomorrow she would be three years old. Then I told her I didn’t know what I was going to do, that she wasn’t my baby anymore and I needed a baby.
Vivienne laid across my lap and said “Don’t worry, Mom. I can be your pretend baby.” Thank goodness.
My little baby from 3 years ago now goes to the playground and runs around without the need to have me nearby. She can eat a whole peanut butter and jelly sandwich in one sitting. She sings along to “Do Re Mi” in the car and my Depeche Mode ringtone when my phone rings. It melts me every single time. She loves to play mommy to her babies, putting them to sleep and then covering them up with a little blanket. When Phil and I talk in the front seat of the car, Vivienne’s voice always pops up from the back seat and asks “Mom, Dad? What are you talking about?”
Enjoy the video of my ‘pretend baby’ in a 3 year old’s body.

Oh my, I can hardly write this through the tears. Tears of joy and emotion to see this wonderful person
grow into unbelievably a 3year old. What a marvelous
chronicle of personality and growth!! Thanks so much
for sharing this with us. Too precious for words....
The video at the end of her energy captures her to a
tee at 3. You are truly blessed.
Sissy-
Truly moving. You are so talented to have 1. Made Vivienne and 2.Be techy enough to put together that slide show. Your choice of songs was spot on. Having Vivienne in my life, especially this year, has healed a big part of the dark place that calls my spirit home. I know you are not ever going to be accused of being super demonstrative, but I can feel your heart in this entry. You are the best mother!
